Personally, this is one part of the Christmas holiday I dread. Saying good bye to loved ones but I know it's inevitable so I prepare to shake off the Christmas blues super fast. I try to communicate more with my loved ones. I also engage in reading books as I get absorbed in them that I forget about my mood for a while. Lastly, I prepare myself for the new year by having a list of things I need to do for the first month and start preparing for them. This really helps me shake it off!

Yeah one of the best parts of Christmas is being with your loved ones but it is hard when it is over and everyone has to leave. I'm lucky as my sons live with me which keeps me busy but on the days where I have the blues, I like to watch movies and get lost in them.

I have always have a lined up if activities i want to engage in during the Christmas, just like a to do list and this has always helped me to go through the Christmas blues because I'm always engaged in one activity or the other.
